The Foundation Phase extra mural program focuses on the holistic development of the child through the development of motor skills and cultural activities. A large variety of activities are offered in an effort to cater for the varying interest of our learners.
From grade one our learners are exposed to the various sporting codes and participate in interschool tournaments and matches in Mini-Cricket, Mini-Soccer, Mini-Hockey and Netball. Our grade 3 boys also have the opportunity to participate in Rugby fixtures. We are proud of our Swimming and Cross Country teams who also participate in interschool events.
A number of cultural and recreational activities are offered. These activities include Choir, Drumming, Art and Craft, Environment Club, Drama and Chess.
Each term a full extra mural programme is sent home and we encourage all our learners to commit to their chosen activities for the term. We do our best not to cancel sporting activities, but in the event of inclement weather all children will be supervised by their coaches.
Learners are encouraged to participate in the many, varied activities offered. Competitive and recreational activities are offered in a program based on sound educational principles.
Numerous teams cater for all pupils encouraging good sportsmanship and teamwork and include:
